Using it safely

  • Choose a blanket of no more than about 10% of your child's body weight: the 2.3 kg size for a child of about 23 kg or more, the 3.2 kg size for about 32 kg or more.
  • Keep the 10 kg (22 lb) size for adults, and do not use any size for babies or children under 3 years.
  • Make sure your child can push the blanket off on their own; lay it loosely and never over the head or neck.
  • Stay with your child while it is in use, keep sessions short, and take it off once they fall asleep.
