CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws 2018, Cl. 14.15.2 asks every affiliated school to promote inclusion of students with special needs in the regular school, alongside the accessibility norms in Cl. 4.7.3 and the special-educator requirement in Cl. 2.4.11. Restated in CBSE Circular 11/2024.

Schools and institutions Abley's has worked with

Ramps get a child into the building. The rest is what happens inside.

We don't build ramps or toilets, and we don't place special educators. We make the classroom, the resource room and the playground work once the child is in them, and we document it for your inspection file.

Bye-Laws Cl. 4.7.3 & 14.15.1

Accessible building

Ground-floor ramp, CwSN-compliant toilets for boys and girls, lift or ramp access to any floor used for CwSN classes. Circular 11/2024 sets the dimensions.

Promote inclusion in the regular school

Classrooms where a child with special needs can regulate, communicate and keep up; a resource room that actually gets used; play spaces that don't leave anyone on the bench.

Abley's covers this

Special educator & counsellor

Full-time, RCI-qualified. We don't place staff — but we equip the room they work from, and every kit ships with a usage guide so their time goes to children, not to figuring out equipment.

From assessment to design to implementation

Every item below ships from our own catalogue — the same products therapists and families across India already use — so what we design, we can deliver.

How it works

Four steps. One supplier. Nothing left for you to assemble.

Equipment nobody shows the staff how to use ends up in a cupboard. Our process ends with your teachers, not with a delivery truck.

Assess

A short call, then an on-site or virtual walk-through of the spaces you want to set up — classrooms, the room earmarked as a resource room or calm corner, the playground. We inventory what you already own before proposing anything new.

Questions principals ask us

What does it cost?

It depends on the spaces and the equipment they need. A calm corner or a classroom kit is a small first step; a full resource room or sensory room is quoted after the assessment, with phasing options so you can spread it across terms. The quote is itemised and there is no minimum order.

Do you build ramps, CwSN toilets or lifts?

No. Those are civil works for your contractor, and Circular 11/2024 sets the dimensions. We handle what goes inside the rooms once the building is accessible. If it helps, we can point you to the exact clauses your inspection file needs to show.

Do you provide a special educator or therapist?

No, and we don't pretend to. We equip the room your RCI-qualified special educator works from, and we hand over usage guides and a staff walkthrough so the equipment is used, not stored. Our products are selected and reviewed by an OT-certified team.

Can we start small and add later?

Yes. There is no minimum order. A single calm corner or one classroom kit is a normal first step; the room plan shows what to add in later phases so each purchase fits the whole.

How long does it take?

In-stock items ship within days; made-to-order equipment (swings, wall panels, soft play) is typically a few weeks. Installation is scheduled around your timetable or holidays. Exact timelines are in the quote.

Do you give GST invoices and accept purchase orders?

Yes. You receive a formal quotation first, then a GST invoice on delivery. Bank transfer and purchase-order billing are supported for schools and trusts.

Is this only for CBSE schools?

No. The CBSE clauses are the most common trigger, but the RPwD Act 2016 applies to every school, and ICSE, state-board, IB and special schools set up the same spaces with us.

What do we get for our inspection and disclosure file?

An itemised GST invoice, the room plan, and photographs of the installed spaces — the paperwork that shows an inspector what was provided, where, and for whom.
