Using it safely

  • If someone coughs or has a wet, gurgly voice while drinking, ask a speech-language pathologist before choosing a cup.
  • A nose cut-out lets the nose clear the rim so the head need not tip back; it does not replace a swallowing assessment.
  • Heat a drink in the microwave only if the cup is marked microwave-safe.

🥤 Drink Safely Without Tilting Your Head

Standard cups often require users to tilt their head back to drain the last drop, which can be dangerous for individuals with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) or limited neck mobility. The Blue Cut-Out Nosey Cup solves this problem with a specialized ergonomic design.

By featuring a cut-out section that fits around the nose, this cup allows the user to maintain a neutral head position and a "chin-tuck" posture while drinking. This significantly reduces the risk of choking and supports independent hydration for children and adults alike.

✨ Key Features:

  • Safe Swallowing Support: Designed to facilitate drinking without neck extension.
  • 237ml Capacity: Perfect size for hydration monitoring and easy handling.
  • Durable & Safe: Made from high-quality, food-grade plastic that withstands drops.
  • Visual Aid: The bright blue color provides visual contrast for easier recognition.
  • Easy Cleaning: Smooth surface design prevents bacteria buildup.

🧠 How It Works:

Unlike traditional cups that hit the bridge of the nose, the cut-out section provides clearance. This allows the liquid to flow into the mouth simply by tilting the cup, not the head. This mechanism is essential for proper oral motor therapy and safe feeding practices.

🎯 Perfect For:

  • Children transitioning from bottles to open cups.
  • Individuals with Cerebral Palsy or Dysphagia.
  • Anyone with limited range of motion in the neck or upper back.
  • Lets the drinker keep a neutral, chin-tucked head position while sipping
  • For open-cup and feeding practice at home or in a clinic
  • Suits children moving from bottles to open cups, and adults with limited neck movement
  • Cut-out rim clears the nose so the head need not tip back
  • 237 ml capacity for easy handling and tracking intake
  • Food-grade plastic that withstands drops
  • Bright blue for visual contrast
  • Smooth surface that is easy to clean
